What’s special about it: A photographer’s favorite, this dive spot features a sandy slope with scattered patches of coral—a perfect macro dive site, just the way we love them!

What to see: Most bizarre and smallest nudibranchs that are rarely found elsewhere, ghost pipefish, seahorses, seamoths, etc.

What’s special about it: Dive into the blue, descending directly to a depth of 30 meters, where you’ll discover temple doors and statues resting on a sandy bottom. This unique sight aligns perfectly with two other temples situated on land.

What to see: Statues of Shiva, Ganesh and more, electric clam, nudibranchs, pipefish, juvenile batfish, etc.

What’s special about it: Close Encounter is one of the most famous seamounts in the area. A beautiful sandy patch is mixed in with a healthy reef.

What to see: Shelter to juvenile whitetip sharks and also some great encounters with schools of fish.

What’s special about it: Napoleon Reef is one of our favorite dive sites because there are multiple ways to dive it, and every time feels like a new experience. The reef is vibrant and healthy, and the marine life is abundant. We just can’t get enough of it!

What to see: Schools of barracuda, rare nudibranchs, moray eels, reef fish, and the occasional shark swimming through.

What’s special about it: The BioRock dive site in Pemuteran is distinctive for its innovative use of Biorock structures, applying low-voltage electrical currents to foster coral growth and contribute to sustainable reef restoration.

What to see: Clownfish, anemones, costasiella kuroshimae ‘’Shawn the Sheep nudibranch’’, seahorse, juvenile sweetlips, batfish, turtles.

What’s special about it: An almost abandoned jetty is settled on the eastern part of the bay and offers an intriguing muck dive spot. Dive directly from the shore.

What to see: Frogfish, ghost pipefish, seahorses, nudibranchs of all sorts, beautiful sea urchins, pipefish, snake eels, etc.

What’s special about it: We aren’t going to lie, Middle Reef isn’t as frequently dived as other sites in the region that are more spectacular. That being said, if you are staying for a few days in town, we highly suggest this dive site for a chill and enjoyable time surrounded by healthy mini walls that encircle this seamount.

What to see: Ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, electric clams, turtles, and reef fish.

What’s special about it: Milo’s Reef was actually the first area where we created our nursing coral garden during the pandemic. In no time, it was populated by beautiful marine life and is still a great dive site for people who spend over a week diving with us.

What to see: A plethora of nudibranchs of all sorts, cuttlefish, ghost pipefish, spawning coral, and everything a macro lover likes to see.

What’s special about it: The Temple of Gods is an initiative from our friends at Reef Seen, who have sunk a multitude of Balinese statues to create a garden of gods.

What to see: Statues covered in coral, nudibranchs, and macro life.

What’s special about it: This dive site once featured a solar-powered system to promote coral growth on two structures, one shaped like a boat and the other like a turtle. This is an initiative from our friends at Reef Seen. Additionally, the area boasts beautiful reefs around these structures and a sandy patch where various critters thrive.

What to see: Octopus, cuttlefish, dragonets, clownfish, glassfish, nudibranchs of all sorts, stingrays, crabs, and more.

What’s special about it: An abandoned large anchor in 5 meters of depth leads to a boat wreckage. Not much information is available about the origin of this once-wooden boat, and to be honest, there isn’t much left of this wreck. Some of the remains are at a depth of over 30 meters.

What to see: Turtles, sharks, nudibranchs, anemones, hard and soft corals, schools of fusiliers, and more.

What’s special about it: Beautiful coral formations and drop, situated on the North side of the island.

What to see: Beautiful coral reef and great chance to encounter green and hawksbill turtles.

What’s special about it: A nice sandy patch, ideal for an introduction to scuba diving and for practicing skills during courses, or for photographers who enjoy capturing the bright sunlight and shallow reef ambiance. Sloping down to over 25 meters, it is a great dive site suitable for all levels.

What to see: Turtles, clownfish, moray eels, flounders, nudibranchs, etc.

What’s special about it: Coral gardens span across a large area on the northeastern side of the island, featuring beautiful coral formations on the reef’s top before it slopes and drops.

What to see: Turtles, eagle rays, hard and soft coral gardens, etc.

What’s special about it: A nice and gentle drift dive along the East coast of Menjangan Island

What to see: Reef sharks, turtles, eagle rays, lobsters, beautiful coral, sponge formations, etc.

What’s special about it: A beautiful cave situated at a depth of 16 to 12 meters

What to see: Gigantic gorgonian sea fans, beautiful coral formations, and one of the most mesmerizing plays of light filtering through a hole in the cave.

What’s special about it: Broken Wall is reminiscent of Underwater Cave without the cave, hence the name! Portions of the wall have broken away, creating small bays of sandy bottom.

What to see: Keep an eye out in the blue for pelagics, or stick close to the wall to spot nudibranchs and other critters.

What’s special about it: This dive site begins at the jetty of the ranger station and typically offers incredible visibility. Keeping your right shoulder, you’ll traverse a long sandy slope with rubble before reaching a small coral garden.

What to see: Look out for flounders, stingrays, crabs, juvenile batfish, turtles, and reef sharks.

What’s special about it: Pos 2 is an intriguing dive site that typically begins at the sandy boat parking area before venturing into the open Bali Sea, where a sloping wall awaits. It’s renowned as one of the best sites for encountering pelagic marine life.

What to see: Reef sharks, turtles, eagle rays, dolphins, and vibrant hard and soft coral gardens, among others.

What’s special about it: Ganesh corner is actually a continuity of the dive site coral gardens which spans across a large area on the northeastern side of Menjangan island. Beautiful coral formations on the reef’s top before it slopes and drops. Same Same but Different!

What to see: Turtles, eagle rays, hard and soft coral gardens, etc.

What’s special about it: If you’re snorkeling, it’s one of the best spots to get up close to the mangroves during high tide. For divers, you’ll explore from small rock formations adorned with coral, patches of hard corals, and mini walls.

What to see: Keep an eye out for triggerfish, especially during nesting season. This area is also great for spotting reef sharks (black and white tips), octopuses, moray eels, and a plethora of small marine life.
