BALI NOMADIC DIVE SAFARI

This 12 Night Safari will take you to 4 different areas around the beautiful island of Bali and show you nearly all it has to offer.  With 22 guided dives and 5 land excursions this safari will show you first hand the diversity of this island both under water and above.  All dives will be conducted from our custom build dive boat, where your equipment will be stored for the length of the trip allowing for a live aboard style dive experience but still the comforts of the land based travel and accommodation.

This safari is suitable for all levels of divers and non divers, or we could even plan to do a variety of PADI Courses during the safari.  For the Non Diver there is countless options that we can arrange through out this trip, which will keep you just as busy as the diving groups.

Program

Day 1

Welcome to Bali. First night in Tuban, South West Penicillia of Bali, to recharge and relax.

Day 4

Traditional market, lunch in the National park and view point before diving on a gorgeous untouched wall and a dive to see the elusive mandarin fish. In between dives or for the non-divers, kayaking in the mangroves is also available.

Day 7

Be prepared to wake up early to dive the famous U.S.A.T. Liberty wreck and a couple other dive sites at the base of Agung volcano, followed by a visit to a salt production or come enjoy a drink at sunset with us.

Day 10

Dive in Amuk Bay and Tepekong before Markisa crew drop us for a swim to a gorgeous white sand beach to spend the afternoon playing in the waves.

Day 13

Bye Bye and farewell.

Day 2

Morning briefing and Introductions before traveling to the North West of Bali. Arriving in time for lunch at The Taman Sari Resort & Spa.  After lunch, we will head to our diving boat to meet the crew and do our first check out dive.

Day 5

Dive the reefs of Pemuteran Bay, then later during the sun set, a visit to Pura Pulaki, to learn about the traditions of the local people, and even enjoy a traditional dinner in the village.

Day 8

Dive the the numerous bays of Amed, and still have time to get a massage or rest by the pool.

Day 11

Using a speed boat we’ll dive Nusa Penida to encounter manta rays and if were lucky a mola mola.

Day 3

Diving the walls of Menjangan island in the Bali Barat National Park. Surface intervals exploring the islands, temples, and native deer population.

Day 6

An introduction to muck diving before heading to the East of Bali. Pearl farm, temple and lunch awaits for us along the coast before arriving to Hidden Paradise in Amed.

Day 9

Dive the southern tip of Amed, then on the way to The Nirwana in Candidasa, visit mesmerising rice paddies and even a royal palace.

Day 12

One more visit? Coffee plantation, national temple or a royal palace we have the choice before arriving for a free afternoon in Ubud to do some last minute shopping or play with some monkeys at the monkey temple. Arrive in Tuban, for our last night, where your equipment will be awaiting for you clean and dry on your balcony.

Diving Sites

Menjangan Island

Situated in the protected area of Bali Barat National Park, the walls surrounding the island are covered with gigantesque gorgonian sea fans and soft coral. Clear water, white sand beach and coral garden will charm everybody snorkelling or diving the island.

Pemuteran

The topography of the bay of Pemuteran is comprised of seamounts or artificial reef created by an initiative of the locals fifteen years ago. What’s special around here? Macro from frogfish, electric clams, halgerda’s, nembrotha’s chromodoris’s nudibranchs, seahorse and more.

Bajul Bay

Surrounded by mangroves this bay, who barely see any waves through out the year is recognized as one of the healthiest reef in Bali and also home of the colorful mandarin fish.

Tulamben

Made famous by the U.S.A.T. Liberty wreck, this village situated at the base of Agung volcano, allows us to encounter numerous bumphead parrotfish, travellies, groupers, ghost pipefishes, morray, garden and ruban eels and much more. Dive sites like Alamanda, Seraya, Coral Garden, Drop off, Kubu’s wreck bring a lot of diversity and contrast in term of color and black sand beach.

Amed

Leaf scorpionfishes, pygmy seahorses, gloomy tambja, hawksbill turtle and ribbon eels awaits for us. Dive some of the fishiest artificial reefs and walls of the island in the north of Amed and explore one of its bay by night to encounter the creatures we can’t see with the day light. Japanese wreck, Lipah, Bunutan, Jemeluk Bay and the Pyramids are just a few choices of divesites around.

Padang Bay 

This area has numerous choice at our disposal.  Blue Lagoon with white sand bottom and coral garden offers a great chances to enjoy turtles, cuttlefishes and several species of Nudibranch.  Jepun is an artificial reef with a wreck that was sunk as part of the reef to attract rays, eels, frogfish, cuttlefish and much more.  When we dive, The Jetty make sure to have your camera fully charged for the frogfish, stonefish, whaspfish, flabelina, seamoth, flying gurnard and a few more surprises.

Tepekong/Mimpang islands

A group of small islands and submerged rocks off the coast from Padang Bay.  Underwater, it is the paradise of hard coral, cuttlefish, turtles, reef sharks and sometimes, if we are lucky, mola-mola. These dive sites most be dive with caution regarding the tides and require an advance level of diving.

Nusa Penida

Famous for drift diving, manta rays and Crystal Bay, this island offers hard and soft coral and the chance to see pelagic. During the season of August-September and October, it offers a great chance to get close to sunfishes, also known as mola-molas and all year round, regarding the sea conditions we can get close to reef and oceanic mantas traveling to the cleaning station of Manta bay and Manta point.
